Privacy Policy

This website is run by the Santa Susana Knolls Homeowners Association, a volunteer, non-profit neighborhood association in Ventura County, California. This page explains what information the site collects and how we use it. The short version: we collect as little as possible.

What this website collects

We don't ask you for any personal information. There are no sign-up forms, accounts, newsletters or online payments on this site.

No tracking. We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising tools, and we don't track you from page to page or across other websites. The site's fonts and photos are stored on our own site, so your browser doesn't contact outside companies like Google when you visit.

Basic technical records. Our website host, Netlify, automatically keeps basic records of visits, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these records to identify visitors. You can read Netlify's privacy policy for details.

When you email us

If you email the HOA or a board member, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply and to handle your question. We don't sell, rent or share it with anyone outside the HOA board unless you ask us to, or the law requires it. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), whose own privacy policy applies to messages stored there.

Board member information

The names and email addresses of HOA board members are posted on this site with each member's permission, so residents can reach them. A board member can ask to have their information changed or removed at any time.

Photos

Photos on this site show the neighborhood and its landmarks. If a photo shows your home, property or you, and you'd like it removed, email us and we'll take it down.

Links to other websites

This site links to government agencies, utilities and other organizations. Their websites have their own privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for how they handle information.

Children

This site is meant for residents and others interested in the neighborhood. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we add new features, such as a sign-up form or online dues payments, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
